Where digital print files fail — and how to avoid it

A print file fails at the RIP if colour is not managed (ΔE off), if spot channels are not named for the printer, or if a yardage design does not tile seamlessly. Screen-accurate is not print-accurate — the file has to carry separation, ICC and repeat, at real resolution.
