Everything you need to run Patterns.

How to design, refine and make the file for the machine you choose — plus Brand DNA, trends, plans and support. Start with a topic below.

Common questions

What is Patterns?

Patterns is PatternAI’s flagship. It turns one design — from a prompt, your own artwork, or a live trend — into the exact production file your machine runs, in your house’s own look, with no redraw in between. It writes for eight techniques: embroidery, print, weave, knit, quilt, embellishment, pattern-cut and schiffli.

What is Mathical 1.0?

Mathical 1.0 is the engineered model behind Patterns. It composes a design from a real design grammar — motif, colour, scale, layout, border — and then digitises it into your machine’s native file, so the result is controllable, reproducible, and faithful to what was approved.

Which machine files can Patterns produce?

A finished design compiles to the native file for the technique you chose — for example a .DST stitch file for embroidery, print-ready separations for a RIP, a jacquard card for weaving, a knitout program for knitting, a longarm path for quilting, a stone map for embellishment, and a graded .DXF with a cut marker for pattern-cut. No manual digitising step in between.

Do I have to write a prompt?

No. You can start from a prompt, upload your own artwork, or pick up a live trend. Whichever you start with, the design comes back in your house’s own look, and you can adjust colour, motif, scale, repeat and border before you make the file.

What is Brand DNA?

Brand DNA learns your house’s signature — motifs, palette, proportions — from your own catalogue, so every design Patterns produces reads as yours, not the generic output everyone else gets.

How do trends work in Patterns?

Trends is a nowcast, not a guess. A signal is only surfaced once independent public sources agree it is moving, and it comes with the evidence. From there you can turn a trend straight into a design you can actually make.

How do plans and credits work?

Plans share one pooled credit balance. See the Pricing page for the current Basic, Pro and Premium allowances, annual pricing, and what a credit covers.

Do you still offer Image & Video?

Yes. Image & Video is our second product — on-model photoshoots, brand-consistent models and 15-second video at catalog scale. Patterns is the flagship for making the actual garment; Image & Video is for showing it.
